Southern Wood Imports is an independently owned
reclaimed lumber yard, offering FSC certified reclaimed siding,
beams, timbers, complete structures, flooring and mill work.
Our goal is to offer the finest grade of antique material in
the U.S. with a high degree of personalized service. Reclaimed
wood products can add a unique antique feel to any project. Whether
the material is rustic or fine finished, it carries on the Early
American legacy of the pioneers and settlers who first touched
this wood.
In
the reclaimed lumber industry there are no grade standards; it
is a buy at your own risk industry. At SWI we have in-house grading
standards to help decrease the waste that is inherent in the
reclaimed lumber industry. Working with our partners in Tennessee,
Ohio, Illinois and Georgia, we have established strict standards
for our material. We invite all of our customers to carefully
inspect their material before purchase. What may be a defect
to some may be reclaimed character to others. It is all a matter
of personal preference and the look one is trying to achieve.
We want the best product to fit our customer’s vision.
We invite
you to visit us at our Montrose, Colorado yard at any time. There
is no job too big or too small, and we are happy to assist contractors,
architects, homeowners and woodworkers in the design and application
of our antique materials. This service helps in the selection
of certain products for different applications and can greatly
reduce waste while creating efficient deliveries and application
of material. Antique timbers, beams, siding, and dimensional
stock can be selected in our yard and tagged for application
in your structure. This eliminates on-site sorting, reduces guess
work, limits waste and creates efficient installs.
We believe
that our local inventory, local service and extensive knowledge
will provide you with the very best in reclaimed material available
anywhere. We look forward to visiting with you soon. If you would
like to see more photos of our products, we would be happy to
send you our photo CD; just give us a call at 970-249-4848.
